I have finally completed the task of moving my entire website over to WordPress, so I don’t have to pay for it anymore. It was tedious, but it allowed me to reformat and correct some mistakes so it is all good.
Going through all my recipes, it looks as though I do not eat very healthy. The truth is, I eat right during the week, but the recipes I post tend to be from my weekend cooking. Plus both my fiancé and I are runners, and we need to eat a lot of calories. But cooking from scratch beats eating processed foods so I am doing alright in that front,
I am deep in the heart of Texas (clap clap clap) right now, and it is just too hard to turn down Tex-Mex and BBQ. Thank God I start training for another half next week because I have indulged over this winter break. Before we left, I made these sloppy joe’s in the slow cooker. My fiancé’s family calls them “Untidy Samuel’s.”
- 2 lbs ground beef
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1 bell pepper, diced
- 3/4 cup ketchup
- 2 T mustard
- 1 T Worcestershire sauce
- 1 t garlic salt
Brown beef in skillet along with onions and pepper. Place in slow cooker along with remaining ingredients and set on low for 6-7 hours.
